MS SDS Proposal Workshop

This is a free online workshop that will familiarize you with the culminating experience process and will help you develop your ideas. 

Workshop Deliverables

Week 1

• Explore research topics that interest you.
• Discussion post of 200+ words describing how you are using available resources to identify a research question.
• Formulate a research question. 

Week 2

• Discussion post of 200+ words describing how you are using available resources to identify a research question.
• Start a literature review. You are framing your research in the larger body of research on that topic.

Week 3

• Identify possible advisors. 
• Submit a one page (250 word) pre-proposal for your scholarly paper or thesis. Your proposal should describe what you are going to do, why what you plan to do is different, and how are you going to do it. The "why" is your contribution to science and the body of knowledge and how your approach is original.
